Gosford Art Prize 2015 won by Pamela Honeyfield
2015 Gosford Art Prize and Ceramic Prize
This is the sixteenth year that the Gosford Art Prize has been held at the Gosford Regional Gallery.
Pamela Honeyfield won the $15,000. 2015 Gosford Art Prize with her work ‘Dusk Falls Across The Flinders’ - Oil on Canvas - H153cm x W122cm - $4,600.
Pamela also won the $10,000. 2014 Gosford Art Prize. (back to back winner)
Judge's Comments: by Brenda Croft
"I selected Pamela’s work for First Prize as this painting kept drawing me back time and again. The palette placed me in the Flinders at dusk, experiencing that fading late afternoon/early evening light, under those endless skies of the inland. The enervating heat of the day is starting to lessen, bringing slight relief and anticipation of the evening sweep of stars. Moody, enticing, confident use of colour and texture."
