Kathy Thane is relatively new to the art scene after a successful career in law and alternative dispute resolution, based in Balmain East.

These days Kathy spends most of her time in Berry on the NSW South Coast. She paints all sorts of landscapes from around Sydney, the inner west to down south, with lots of dogs, funny little houses, pubs and quirky local characters. Lately Kathy has been experimenting with fruit and flowers. She paints in oils in the naïve style and all her works are colourful, whimsical, joyful, with a sense of humour.

Kathy was a winner in the 2024 Berry Show in both the Painting of Berry and Still Life open classes. She has also been exhibited as part of the Balmain and Birchgrove Public Schools, Incognito and Paint Woollahra Village Art Shows.

Kathy has had annual shows at Art Gallery on Darling since 2022 and you will also find her paintings in Ellow Creative Space on Queen Street, Berry.
