Felicity O’Connor

Felicity’s process is one of expressive, emotionally charged mark making that is raw and honest.

She uses layers of colour and gestures that knit over and under the surface, inviting the viewer to consider their own landscape and inscape.

Working in both oils and acrylic, her exploration of space and line is compared to the abstract expressionist painters of the mid 21st century.

Felicity works from her home studio in Avoca Beach on the NSW Central Coast and has been a finalist in a number of major prizes including the Muswellbrook Art Prize, the Hunters Hill Art Prize, the Gosford Art Prize, the Blacktown art prize, the Waverley Woollahra art prize and the prestigious Koren-Australian Art Foundation prize.
